Maybe you've never been to church before, or it's been a while since you've attended somewhere. Regardless, checking out a new church can be intimidating. We want to give you a sense of who we are, what we do, and what to expect.
WE LOVE JESUS
We're unashamedly passionate about Jesus. Jesus is the centerpiece of all human history and the climax of God's plan to redeem and restore this broken world. Through his work on the cross Jesus redeemed his people, forgiving our sins, washing us clean, giving us his record of perfect righteousness and reconciling us to God. Our hope rests in Jesus, our mediator before the Father, who will one day return in glory to set everything to rights.
WE LOVE EACH OTHER
Jesus has not only reconciled us to God, he has restored us to one another making us God's family. From the outside there isn't a lot that unites us. We're a community of different age groups, vocations, backgrounds and income levels. But our shared identity as sinners rescued by Jesus ties us together in a way externals never can. Because Jesus loved and forgave us when we were his enemies we're empowered to extend the same love and grace to others.
WE LOVE OUR CITY
We don't believe the church should withdraw from the world and just hang on until Jesus comes back. Instead we believe Jesus loves the world and is in the process of renewing and remaking it. He wants his people to participate in his work by loving and serving our city, caring for the poor and oppressed, contributing to culture through our work, and sharing the good news of the gospel.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Come as you are. There is no dress code. Our Sunday gathering is a place where you'll feel welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed but expectant as we come to meet with and hear from God. During the service we worship God through singing and prayer, and hear from God through the preaching of his Word. Our service ends with communion, a chance for followers of Jesus to remember his work on the cross through the symbols of bread and wine.
Childcare for infants from newborn to 36 months is available throughout the service. Our nursery facility is a fun and safe environment for children, staffed by trained volunteers. Children must be signed in and out by the same parent, and parents will be contacted in the service if any problems arise.
Children age 3 to fourth grade are allowed to participate in our Sunday School time during the sermon portion of the service. Two classes, for preschool and primary grades, give age appropriate lessons and activities from the Bible that point to Jesus as King and Rescuer.
SERVICE TIME AND DIRECTIONS
